Loonies and Victory Red

“Loonies and Victory Red” is an installation made by coins and red string. The coins are attached to the string by triangle knots with no glue or other adhesive material. The coins are hanged one next to another from the ceiling to the height of the artist’s eye level crossed the hallway. Viewers have to lower their bodies or use hands to lift the coins to go across. When interaction happens, the coins will make the clicking sound. By using real money, it maximizes viewers desire to take the coins away, the more coins are taken, the less sound it can make. The number of coins is decided by the space, the installation in the photo is made by 140 coins, about 15 coins were taken in three days.
